SUBJECT: PLANNING COMMISSION ACTIONS - MEETING OF NOVEMBER 10,
2020
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to receive and file the Planning Commission (Commission)
actions from their meeting of November 10, 2020.
BACKGROUND:
On November 10, 2020, the Commission held their regularly scheduled meeting.
ANALYSIS:
The following is a summary of actions taken at the November 10, 2020 meeting:
1.ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioner - Lee, O’Leary, Cordes, Haddad
Absent: Commissioner - Guan
Excused: Commissioner - None
2.CONSENT CALENDAR
The Commission approved the minutes from their regular meeting of October13,
2020.

3. PUBLIC HEARING
A. PL 19-1952: 5016 DALEVIEW AVENUE
DESCRIPTION: A tentative parcel map and a major site plan review to allow the
construction of three condominium units in the R-2 zone.
ACTION: The Commission voted 4-0 to approve file PL 19-1952, and adopted
the resolution finding that the project is exempt from CEQA, subject to the
proposed recommended conditions of approval.

7. UPDATE FROM THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Mr. Reimers announced that he was promoted to the position of Community
Development Director and thanked everyone for their support. He also stated that
an appeal was filed at the instruction of City Council over the Reginal Housing Needs
Assessment (RHNA); there will be a public hearing sometime in December. The City
has contracted with a company name Harmari to assist with identifying short term
rentals. Staff sent out about 100 letters and has received some compliance. Mr.
Reimers thanked the Community Preservation staff and the support staff for sending
out the letters. At the last City Council Meeting the City Council approved a
swimming pool maintenance ordinance to help the San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and
Vector Control District clean up unmaintained swimming pools faster. The City
contracted with Lisa Wise Consulting to help with the housing element. The housing
element will be funded through a State grant. At the upcoming City Council meeting
there will be an appeal of the Bellagio car wash. Also on the agenda, the City Council
will review a business license deferral and amnesty program to help with the COVID-
19 pandemic. The next Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for December
8, 2020.

The Commission meeting was adjourned at 8:01 p.m.

Reviewing the Commission actions of November 10, 2020, furthers the City’s Strategic
Goals of Citizen Education and Communication.
