A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, SELECTING
AECOM TECHNICAL SERVICES, INC. FOR DESIGNCRITERIA PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR
STORMWATER UTILITY AND RIGHT.OF-WAY
IMPROVEMENTS; PROVIDING FOR AUTHORIZATION;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS' the Village of Key Biscayne ("Village") issued Request for Qualifications
No. 2020-03 ("RJq"; for professional services relating to design criteria of stormwater utility
and right-of-way improvements (the "services"); and
WHEREAS, on January 10, 2020, an Evaluation Committee appointed by the Village
Manager short listed firms and ranked AECOM Technical Services, Inc. (the o'Consultant") as
the most qualified firm for the Services; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to enter into an agreement with the Consultant
for the Services; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that this Resolution is in the best interest and
welfare of the residents of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA AS F'OLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals. That each of the above-stated recitals are hereby adopted,
confirmed, and incorporated herein.
Section 2. Selection. That the Village Council hereby selects the Consultant for the
Services.
Section 3. Authorization. That the Village Council hereby authorizes the Village
Manager to negotiate and execute an agreement with the Consultant subject to the final approval
of the Village Attorney as to form, content, and legal sufficiency. If an agreement cannot be

reached with the Consultant, the Village Manager is authorized to negotiate and execute an
agreement with the next highest ranked firm(s), in order of ranking, until an agreement in the
best interest of the Village is reached.
Section 4. Effective Date. That this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon
adoption.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 1lth day of February ,2020.
