ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF 14iAY 29, 1946
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an adjourned
regular session in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, 11331 Plaza
Street on above date at 7:30 P. , M.
Mayor Doty i n the chair.
Councilman Shrock, Williams, Jensen, Wiggins and Doty
answered the roll call.
It was moved by Councilman Shrock and seconded by Council-
man Jensen that the minutes of the previous adjourned regular meeting
of May 28 and the regular p~eeting of May 21 be approved as written.
All members of the Council present voting aye, the Mayor declared
the motion duly carried.
RESOLUTION N0. 1961, entitled, '~A RESOLU'T'ION OF THE CITY
COUTuCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER
STREET LIGHTING SERVICE ON CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD

read. It was moved by Councilman Wiggins, seconded by Councilman
Shrock that said resolution be adopted.
Roll Call:
Ayes: Councilmen Doty, Jensen, Shrock, Wiggins and
Williams.
Noes: None.
The City Manager presented a form ordinance authorizing
a contract between the City of Lynwood and the State of Ca3ifornia
as to the State Retirement Plan that was voted in at the last
election. The Manager explained that this was merely a formality
necessary to enter into said contract with the State. It was moved
by Councilman V'Jiggins and seconded by Councilman Shrock that said
ordinance be accepted as read and pass to the second reading.
Roll Call
Ayes: Councilmen Doty, Jensen, Shrock, Wiggins and
Williams.
Noes: None.
The City Manager reported upon the cast iron pipe bids
that were received May 21, 1946. His recapitulation showed that
U. S. Pipe and Foundry Company was the lowest bidder. He therefore
recommended that we accept the U. S. Pipe and Foundry Company's bid
in the total amount of 411,439.72 and reject all other bids and
award U. S. Pipe and Foundry Company a contract fo.r said pipe.
It was moved by Councilman Shrock and seconded by Council-
man Williams that said U. S. Pipe and Foundry bid be accepted and
an order placed.

Ayes: Councilmen Doty, Jensen, Shrock, Wiggins and
Williams.
Noes: None.
It was moved by Councilman Shrock, seconded by Councilman
Wiggins that the meeting adjourn to Wednesday, une 5, 1946 at 7:30
P. M. All members of the Council present voting aye, the Mayor
declared the motion duly carried.
