ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING MARCH 19, 1947
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an adjourned
regular session in the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street on above data
at 7:30 P. M. ~ '
Mayor Doty in the chair.
Councilmen Doty, Jensen, Shrock, Wiggins, and Williams
answered the roll call. '
The Clerk presented the Engineer's written analysis of the
weed proposals that had been presented at the previous meeting where-
in they had been broken down to aggregates, as follows:
Haddan, Inc. ~ X3,530.50
Bonded Contractors, Inc. 3,633.00
~^ Owl Truck Co. 6,570.00
M. G. Hooks 6,570.00
It was pointed out that past experience with City forces
indicate the cost would be approximately X4,100.00. It has been
determined that the low bidder did not propose to start the work
for about three weeks, the second bidder being able to start work
immediately. Owing to the necessity of early commencement, it was
recommended that the bid be given to Bonded Contractors, Inc. It
was moved by .Councilman Shrock, seconded by Councilman Jensen, that
the Engineer's recommendation be concurred in and the bid given to
Bonded Contractor's, Inc.

Ayes: Councilmen Doty, Jensen, Shrock, Wiggins, and
Williams. '
Noes: None. '
`~A ree,ommendation from Police Chief Paul W. Kerr wherein he
recommended suspension of Sergeants O'Shaughnessy and Legg was read.
It was moved by Councilman Wiggins, seconded by Councilman Jensen,
that upon recommendation of the Chief of Police and after discussion
with him Detective Sergeant O'Shaughnessy and Police Sergeant Legg
are hereby suspended for a period of thirty days, effective March
20th, and upon further recommendation of the Chief of Police, that
the Council take under advisement the retaining of a competent expert
to make a thorough survey of the department."'

Ayes: Councilmen Daty, Jensen, Shrock, Wiggins, and' '
Williams.
Noes: None.
It was moved by Councilman~Jensen, seconded by Councilman
Wigging, that the- meeting be adjourned. All members of the City
Council voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried.
