ADJODURNED REGULAR I,~EETING JUNE 24, 1947
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an adjourned
regular session in the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street on above date
at 7:30 P. M.
Mayor Doty in the chair.
Councilmen Doty, Jensen, Shrock, and Williams answered the
roll call.:.: .
Councilman Wiggins was ab$ent. -
The Clerk presented agreement for entering into the
recreation program with the School District for the summer for the
period June 15 to September 15, 1947. After some discussion, it was
moved by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Shrock, that
said agreement be entered into and the Mayor authorized to execute
~„• same .
Roll Call:
Ayes: Councilmen Doty, Jensen, Shrock, and Williams.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Wiggins.
- A communication from the City Engineer was presented,
requesting an amendatory motion in connection with the acceptance
of Tract 14785. It was moved by Councilman Williams, seconded by
Councilman Shrock, that the map of Tract No. 14785 be approved and
that the streets, public utilities and sanitary sewer easements
offered therein for dedication be accepted.
Roll Call:
Ayes: Councilmen Doty, Jensen, Shrock, and Williams.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Wi~~ins.
The Clerk presented the improvement bond and public liability
and property, darnage policy on the aforementioned tract. It alas moved
by Councilman Shrock, seconded by Councilman Williams, that said.
bond and policy be accepted and filed.

Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Wiggins.
The Clerk presented a Grant Deed wherein the Board of
Trustees of .the Lynwood School District conveys to the City of Lynwood
a portion of Lot 10, Downey and Hellman Tract as shown on Map recorded
in Book 3, Page 31 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
to be used for street purposes and to be known as Alma Avenue.
It was moved by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman
Shrock, that said deed be accepted and that the City Clerk be directed
to cause same to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Los
Angeles County.

The Clerk presented Judgment Quieting Title on Lots 44
and 45, Block 5, Mod,jeska Park as per map recorded in Book 9, Pages
142 and 143 of Maps in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles
''""~~ Gounty. It was moved by Councilman Shrock, seconded by Councilman
Williams, that said instrument be accepted and that the City Clerk
be directed to cause same to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder
of Los Angeles County.

Ayes: Councilmen Doty, Jensen, Shrock, and Williams.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Wiggins.
It was brought out that the terms of Planning Commission
members Read and Lake expire June 30 and that appointments are
necessary to fill said vacancies.
It was moved by Councilman Shrock, seconded by Councilman
Williams, that 'Halter Read be reappointed to a full term on the
Lynwood Planning Commission. All members of the City Council present
voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried.
It was moved by C ouncilman Williams, seconded by Council-
man Shrock, that Louis E. Fisher be appointed to Pill the other term.

RESOLUTION N0. 2051 entitled, "RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE 1947-48 BUDGET OF THE
ESTIMATES OF REVENUES AND EXPENDITURES FOR VARIOUS FUNDS," was
read. It was moved by Councilman Williams, seconded by Council-
man Shrock, that said Resolution .be adapted.
Roll Call:
Ayes: Councilmen Doty, Jensen, Shrock, and Williams.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Wiggins.
rrhe Mayor inquired if there were any oral communications.
There was no response.
It was regularly moved by Councilman Williams, and
seconded by Councilman Shrock, that the demands presented to the
Council at its meeting of June 24, 1947, having been regularly
audited, are hereby allowed and approved and warrants ordered
drawn on the City Treasurer therefor in accordance with and to
the payees named in the several demands hereby approved.

It was moved by Councilman Shrock, seconded by
Councilman Williams, that the meeting be adjourned.- All members
of tre City Council present voting aye, the mayor declared the
motion duly carried,
