A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COTINCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, APPROVING
R&G ENGINEERING, INC. AND FG CONSTRUCTION,
LLC FOR SIDEWALK, ASPHALT AND PAVER REPAIR
SERVICES ON AN AS.NEEDED BASIS; PROVIDING FOR
AUTHORIZATION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village of Key Biscayne (the "Village") Council desires sidewalk, asphalt
and paver repair services (the "Services") to maintain the Village's hardscape on an as-needed
basis; and
WHEREAS, the type of work contemplated by the Village for the Services has been
competitively bid and awarded to R&G Engineering, Inc. and FG Construction, LLC (the
o'Contractors") by the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, pursuant to Bid #12218-693 (the 'oFort
Lauderdale Contract"); and
WHEREAS, the Village may, pursuant to Section 2-86 of the Village Code of
Ordinances (the "Code"), enter into bids or contracts entered into by another governmental
authority, provided that the governmental authority has gone through a competitive bidding
procedure leading to the award of the bid or contract in question; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2-86 of the Village Code, the Village Council
desires to approve the Contractors to provide the Services on an as-needed basis consistent with
the terms and conditions of the Fort Lauderdale Contract in an amount not to exceed budgeted
funds; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that this Resolution is in the best interest and
welfare of the residents of the Village.
NOWO THEREFORE' BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals. That each of the above-stated recitals are hereby adopted,
confirmed, and incorporated herein.
Section 2. Approval. That the Village Council hereby approves the Contractors to
provide the Services.
Section 3. Authorization. That the Village Council hereby authorizes the Village
Manager to execute agreements with the Contractors for the Services on an as-needed basis
consistent with the terms and conditions of the Fort Lauderdale Contract in an amount not to
exceed budgeted funds, subject to the approval of the Village Attorney as to form, content and
legal suffrciency.
Section 4. Effective Date. That this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon
adoption.
