was read wherein they request permission to use part of the public

ref erred to the City Manager and Recreation Commission for investiga-

A communication from the Imperial Highway Association raa®
read wherein they requested cooperation from the city of Lynwood
in the Association8s effort to speed development of Imperial High-
way in the bottleneck between Xorba Linda and Santa Ana Canyonq
There was discussion wherein the Manager stated that any help in
Imperial Highway improvement wrould be extremely 'beneficial to Lynr~rood
and that another portion of the highway closer to home waa badly
in need of improvementD namel~g the section in the city of South
Gate between the Los Angeles iver and Garfield Avenues Whereupon
it was moved. by Councilman Brunere seconded by Councilman Sneddon
