WY~ereupon Mrs. Bannister stated she believed that her next door neighbor waa conducting a commercial. venture in his garages and would like to know from him whether or not such was the ease, ~.7~ M~~o Ba.n~a,ister stated what in his opinion was contained in the garage ~~ext doom and what he felt to be a hobby shop. The Mayor inquired of the Bannisters if they wished to ~.odge a formal complaint in the matterg otherwisee he felt nothing more could be donee Gouncilmara Bruner suggested that the matter might °~e better handled. by ask:i~'ig for a report from the City Manager. Absents Nonso The Manager reported on traffic signal bids received at the previous meetings stating that the bid for the installation at Bulbs and Imperial Highway exceeded the estimate and therefore could not be considered. Councilman Moffitt inquired as to the necessity of so many traffic signal installations. The Manager stated he concurred that there is a trend toward superfluous installations. Howevers investigation by the Police Department reveals a real need at the subject intersection. The Manager went on to state that in his opinion the installation at Cedar and Long Beach Boulevard was a necessary one, and. that at this point he could see the need of only one more in the futures that being California and Century Boulevard. After a discussions it was moved by Councilman Daetwellere seconded by Councilman 8neddon that the Manager be authorized to commence the necessary procedure toward making said saleo All members pre® sent voting ayes the Mayor declared the motion duly carried.
