REGULAR MEETING APRIL 21, 1953
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in a regul8,r
session irz the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street, nn above date at
7 0 3o p, m,
Mayor Willard. in the chair.
Councilmen Bruner, Daetweiler, Pearson, Sneddon, and
Willard answered the roll call.

The hr,ur of 8;00 p, m. having arrived, said hour being

City with a fire truck as per specifications, the Mayor inquired if
there were any present wishing to submit bids, There was no
response.
The Clerk stated he had received seven bias.It was moved
by Councilman 9neddc:;n, seconded by Councilman Daetweiler, tna.t

agreement upon the ad~risability of recharging the urrdergrcuncE
bs.sirY. Councilman Daetweiler expresse3 hi.s opinion in this
matter , eta.ting that he felt the Gity should have the authority
to pay the cost of said pro,~ect from whatever funds deemed most

MANHOLE COVERS TO PERMIT DRAINAGE OF STORM WATER TO BE A PUBLIC

Planning-~ Commission Resolution No. 103 was presented
wherein the Plar:rii:~~; Commission approved the variance to raer-
mit the constructios~ of a second unit in front of an existing

Councilman isruner, that the City Council concur in said actio:~.

Planning Commission P.eaolution No. 104 was preaented~
wherein the Planning Commission approved the change of zone
from R-1 to R-3 requested by Criss W. Heller for the Westerly
759 of Lot ,~, Tract 5103 (ex the southerly 190').
There was considerable discussion regarding the
possible use of a variance to allow more control of the use
of the property. After further discussion, it was moved by
Gouncilmar~ Sneddon, seconded by Councilman Daetweiler, that
said matter be held. over for further study until the next
regular meeting. All members voting a,ye, the Mayor declared
the motion duly carried.
Planning" Commission Resolution No. 105 was presented,
wherein approval was given to the change of zone from R-3 to
R-1 of Lots 1 - 20; Tract 15325 for the purpose of correcting
the conflict between present zoning; and existing tract res-
trictions. It was moved by Councilman Daetweiler, seconded
b,y Councilman Pearson, that the Council concur in said action.

The City Attorney reported that the case of
Rubes haw vs. City of Lynwood had been dismissed.
It was moved by Councilman Pearson, seconded by
Councilman Sneddon, that the demands presented at the meeting
of April 21, 1953, having been regularly audited, are hereby
allowed and approved and warrants ordered drawn on the City
Treasurer therefor in accordance with and to the payees named
and. the funds indicated in the several demands hereby approved,
