SUMMARY STATEMENT:
On March 16, 2020 Council adopted the attached local emergency declaration proclamation which expires
April 15, 2020. The declaration allows the City to participate in grant funding through the Idaho Office of
Emergency Management for expenses incurred for preparation, response, and recovery activities related to
COVID 19. Based on the April 15 announcement by the Governor for the state’s “stay at home” order and
local conditions, Council may wish to extend the effective date of this Emergency Declaration to coincide
with the state’s order. Also attached is a statement by Council Member Sowers and a draft Proclamation for
the Council’s consideration.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Proclaim and declare a State of Emergency in the City of McCall and authorize the Mayor to sign all
necessary documents.
