REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 2, 1954
The City Council of the City of L~rnwooci met in a regular
session in the City Hall, 11330 Bull:~s Road, on above date at
7 30 p.m.
Mayor Willard in the Chair.
Councilmen Bruner, Daetweiler Pearson, Sneddon, and
`~iilla~d answered the roll call.
It yeas moved by Councilman Sneddon, seconded by
Counoilman Brizner, that the minutes of the previous regular
meeting of January 19, 1951- be approved as written. All members
voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion dul~r carried,
The Clerl, presented a commLnicatior. from the American
National Red Cross recL:.cstins permission to I~lace banners across
Long Beach. Boulevard at Imperial Hi ~rhyvay and Century Boulevard
and requested the ~aive:.-~ ee :;'ee: and 1 ceases for the i.nstalla- ~

The Cleric presented a communication from the T.ynwood
Womens ~ Club Juniors requesting: the Ci.tzr to proclaj.m the week
of Monday, February 22 as "Leills:emia titiTeek" . It was moved by
Councilman Pearson, seconded by Councilman Bruner, that the
letter be accepted and tb•re yveeic of Febrizartr 22-28 be so pro-

duly carried.

of Bill Rodman to conduct t:ze ~a7sit~ess of teleyr:~sion repair

regulations, it was moved by Col~nc-~lman Pearson, seconded by
Councilman Sneddon, that said application be held in abeyance
pending the receipt of more detailed information from the
applicant. All members voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion
duly carried.
The Ci.~rk ~~resented the home occui~ation application
of Delbert A. Fernandez to conduct the business of advertising
art service at 10~3~ San Luis. It was moved by Councilman
Brtaner, seconded ?~y Coiznc~~ lman Daetweiler, that said appli-

and submit a report with any recommendations Cher might have.

An Ordinance entitled "ATJ ORDINANCE OF THE CI'i'.i OF
LYNTiJ00D, CALIFORI`dIA, PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS (;-F
SAID CITY IN THE AMOUNT OF $400,000" eras read in f~~11 for the
first time, It eras moved ~y Coune~Iman Sneddon, seconded by
Councilman Bruner, that said ordinance be accepted as read for
the first time and pass to the second reading.

The City Manager presented a communication from the
City Treasurer requegti.nF_r, the City to cancel t~.ll o~xtetanding
1915 Act assessments against t~s~r:~aus loth in ty~~~ C ~.ty c1f
Lynwood, further stating; that the City owns a].1 ~:>f these out-
standing bonds and thi° *~r~~ulct not afifect an`;r p~~.ym~nts that
may be received in t~.e future. It Taae m~,trF~r~ Y~~,r~ Councilman
Sneddon, seconded by Councilman Bruner, that the City Treasurer
be authorized to cancel all outstanding 191.5 Act assessments
against any parcels of land {n the City of L1*nwood. All mem-
bers voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried.

basis effective February 1, 1954 at a salary of $335 per
month.

The City Manager requested authorization to adver-
tise for bids for the. purchase of the necessary pool equ~~ment

if;nclu,~ed in the general pool contract. Whereupon, it ',Was
