ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 26 „ 1954
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an
adjourned regular session in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road.,
on above date at 10:00 a.m.
Mayor Bruner in the chair.
Councilmen Bruner, McMeekin, Pearson, and Willard
answered the roll call.
Councilman Pender was absent.
It was moved by Councilman Pearson, seconded by Council-
woman McMeekin, that the minutes of the regular meeting of August
17, 1954 be approved as written. All members present voting aye,
the Mayor declared the motion duly carried.
ORDINANCE N0. 611 entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE
INCORPORATED CITY OF LYNWOOD ESTABLISHING TAX DISTRICT NUMBER 1
OF SAID CITY, FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES, AND LEVYING TAXES FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1954 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1955" was
read for the second. time by caption. It was moved by Councilman
Pearson, seconded by Councilman Willard, that further reading be
waived. All members present voting aye, the Mayor declared the
motion duly carried.
It was moved by Councilman Willard, seconded by Council-
man Pearson, that said ordinance be adopted as read for the
second time, finally pass, and be published as required by law.
Roll Call:
Ayes: Councilmen Bruner, McMeekin, Pearson, and.
Willard.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Pender.
RESOLUTION N0. 2563 entitled "RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY AUDITOR TO
LEVY SPECIAL TAXES ON CERTAIN PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
TO PAY FOR SIDEWALK REPAIRS" was presented. (Tecumseh Avenue).
Roll Call:
Ayes: Councilmen Bruner, McMeekin, Pearson, and
Willard.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Pender.
.The City Manager stated that he had the final draft
of the Personnel Rules and Regulations. It was moved by Council-
man Willard, seconded by Councilman Pearson, that the final
draft of the Personnel Rules and Regulations, with the deletions
and additions as suggested by the Personnel Board, be prepared
for final adoption at the next regular meeting of September 7.
All members present voting aye, the-Mayor declared the motion
duly carried.
It was moved by Councilman Pearson, seconded by
Counciwoman McMeekin, that the meeting be adjourned. All
members present voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly
