TEMPLE CITY PARK.
Director Chadwick made a brief presentation regarding the proposal and indicated that Chuck
Erickson, a member of the committee, is available to answer any questions regarding the proposal.
Commissioner Caswell asked whether or not the Rotary Club should be the group requesting park
use since they are the local non - profit organization responsible for the event. The Christy Meyers
Committee is not an organized non - profit group. He expressed a concern that should the park be
left in a messy condition it would be easier for the City to contact the local non - profit than the
committee.
Chick Erickson responded that he and other individuals are planning to volunteer their time at
the event. They will be helping to set -up event and clean-up at its conclusion.
Director Chadwick indicated that the Rotary Club of Temple City is co- sponsoring the event with
the Christy Meyers Committee. In response to Commissioner Caswell's comments, Director
Chadwick indicated that he would request the Rotary Club to complete a facility use permit.
Commissioners were in concurrence with this action.
Commissioner Sternquist asked whether or not the ordinance restricting solicitation to certain
hours would impact this use. Director Chadwick indicated that the proposal included two requests:
the first is a request to solicit for donations while the second request is to use a City park for the
fund raising event. The Commission should review the proposal based upon park use and whether
