Meeting called to order at 7:05 pm by Acting Chair Carol Menton.

Minutes
It was moved, seconded, and passed unanimously to accept the minutes of the
November 17, 2010 meeting. Copies of our minutes may be requested from the
Town Clerk's office.
Treasurers Report - Gayle Shattuck
It was moved, seconded, and passed unanimously to accept the Treasurer's
report. Copies of the Treasurer's report may be requested from the town's ADA
Coordinator in the Personnel Office.
It was resolved that we should find more projects to back which will benefit the
community.
Special Ed Report—Fred Isaacs
On December 2 Beth Lloyd gave a presentation on assistive technology for
computer usage. The presentation was interesting, useful, and fairly well
attended.
Our next meeting is January 13, 2011 on Executive Functioning with presenters
from Occupational, Therapy Associates in Watertown.
Community Garden Project - Raymond Isaacs, Guest
Raymond outlined the progress made by the growing local movement to establish
community gardens. We would like to ensure that at least some of them are
handicapped-accessible.
Safety and Access Newton just passed an ordinance requiring homeowners to clear
paths. We can try bringing this matter to the Town Council. We should invite
Councilor Susan Falkoff to a meeting to discuss this before we do so. We still do
not have a map of audible locator tones. The signal at the corner of Mt. Auburn
Street and Summer St. is awaiting parts.
Town Council Member
Councilor Steve Corbett will be our ex officio Town Council Commission member.
He will be at our January meeting. He would have attended this month but he
could not make our rescheduled date.
Meeting co-chairs
We will have rotating co-chairs for meeting again.
