The Manager presented. his report on the bids received. at the last regular meeting for the construction of a cookin g shelter, remodeling of existing cooking shelter and. construction , of three barbecue pits . The Manager stated that although only ane bid had b . . een received that said. bid. was somewhat lower than the engineerts estimate and: recommended. that the contract be awarded to James F. Rowe, I't was moved. by Councilman Finch, seconded. by Councilman Summers, that the Council concur in the recommendations of the Manager and award said contract t '^~ . . . o James E, Rowe. There followed cor_siderable discussion of pro- posed: revenues, expenditures, departmental requests, and. employee requests. The Manager stated. that from this discussion he will pre- pare a final budget for submission to the Council for adoption at the regular meeting of July 2, 1957• It was moved by Councilman Finch, seconded. by Councilwoman McMeekin, that the meeting be ad~jo rned..
