Councilmen Compton, Finch, McMeekin, Pender, and. Summer's answered. the roll call. It was moved. by Councilwoman McMeekin, seconded. by Council- man Pender, that the minutes of the previous regular mE~eting of February 18, 1958, be approved. as written. All mem~k>ers voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried.. Tunstall, The Clerk presented. a communication from Sergeant Edward. Leave of Tunstall of the Police Department, requesting that the Absence City Council grant him a leave of absence with, pay, for a period. of 16 working days, beginning March 12 througri March 31, 1958, due to serious illness, in accordance with Section 4, Rule 11, Resolution No. 2568. _ Councilman Summers stated. that he wished. to disqualify himself from discussion and. voting on this matter as Mr. Tunstall is under his medical care. After discussion, it was moved. by Mayor Compton, seconc~.ed. by Councilwoman McMeekin, that Sergeant Tunstall be granted. the requested- leave of absence, with pay, with the pro~rision that this leave of absence be considered. as an advance on future accumulative sick leave and. so charged. as author- ized. in Section 2, Rule 11, Resolution No. 2568. Glen The Clerk presented. a communication from Glen Fullerton, Fullerton - 11330 Atlantic, requesting the Council to adopt an ABC ordinance which would. provide that a citation be issued. violations. rather than a misdemeanor complaint where a beverage dealer is in violation of alcoholic beverage license rules. The City Attorney stated. that he felt Mr. Fullerton was misinterpreting an ordinance recently passed. by the City of Burbank. The City Attorney informed. the Council that the Personnel Rules and. Regulations provide for a procedure to be followed in obtaining permission to conduct this type of activity. Bishop, 3255 Fernwood Avenue, inquired. if the Harold Bishop City Council is going to appeal the decision of the Court Vehicle Park- in the Vehicle Parking District No. 1 condemnation pro- ing District ceedings against Flora Bishop. He was informed. that the No. 1 Council has taken no action on whether or not the decision should. be appealed.. Mr. Bishop also asked. that the City remove that portion of property acquired by the city from their tax bill. The City Attorney stated he would. investigate the matter and. take appropriate action.
