The City Council of the City of L~y~nwood met in an adjourned
regular session in the Cit~:r Hall., 1133C Bullis Road., on above
date at 3:30 p.m.
Mayor Finch in t:~e chair.
Councilmen English, Finch, and. SurrLmers answered. the roll call.
Councilmen Compton. and. Pend.er were absent.
It was moved. by Councilman Summers, seconded by Councilman
English, that the minutes of the previous regular meeting of
June 4, 1858, be appr°oved as written, A11 members present
voting aye, the Mayor declared. tY°~e motion duly carried.
Ord.. 676 - ORDINANCE N0. 676 entitled. "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
Abolishing LYNWOOD ABOLISHING THE BOND REDEMFTION FUND AND SPECIAL
Bond. Redemp- ASSESSMENT AND TAX RELIEF FUND OF SAID CITY," was presented.
Lion & Tax for the second. time. It was moved. by Councilman Summers,
Relief Funds seconded. by Councilman. English, +Uhat further reading be
waived.. All members present voting aye, the Mayor declared.

It was moved. by Councilman Summers, seconded. by Councilman
English, that said. ordinance be adopted. as read. for the
second. time, finally pass, and- be published as required. by
law.

Absent: Councilmen Compton and. Pender.
Purchasing The Manager presented for the Councilts consideration a
Ordinance purchasing procedure ordinance.
Coach Oil The Clerk presented. an application from Coach Oil Company for
Co.-Special a permit to operate a fireworks stand. at the southeast corner
Permit - of Adley and. Imperial Highway, from June 28 to July 4.
Fireworks
Councilman Pender arrived. and. took his place at the Council
table.

Pender, that said. special permit be granted. subject to the
rules and regulations governing the sale of safe and. sane
fireworks within the City of Lynwood., All members present
voting aye, except Councilman English who voted. no, the
Mayor declared. the motion duly carried..
Metropolitan The Clerk presented.~a communication from the League of
Government California Cities, Los Angeles Cc4unty Division, requesting
Study the Council to appoint a citizen representative and an
Commission alternate citizen representative to the Metropolitan Govern-
ment Study Commission. The Clerk stated. that the next meeting
of the Commission will be held. on June 30, and. the requested.
appointments could. be made at the next regular meeting.
Codification The City Attorney presented. for the Councils consideration
of a proposal from the Michie City Publication Company for the
Ordinances. codification of all city ordinances into a single volume
municipal code.
Councilman Compton arrived. and. took his place at the Council
table.

After considerable discussion, the Council authorized. the
City Attorney to investigate the proposal further.

The City Attorney presented. recommended changes to the
proposed. nuisance ordinance for the Councils study. Thee
followed. considerable discussion and. recommendations on the
proposed. ordinance.
The City Manager requested. a study session with the City Bud. et -
Council regarding the proposed. budget for 1858-59• It was 195-59
agreed. by members of the City Council that they would. meet
with the City Manager at 3:30 p.m. on June 17 to d.iseuss
the proposed budget.
It was moved. by Councilman Pender, seconded. by Councilman
Compton, that the meeting be adjourned. A~1 members voting
aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried..
