Improvement and Gertrude Drive, the Clerk presented.. his affidavit of
mailing notices as required by law,, and. stated. that no
written protest had been filed. to date.
The Mayor inquired. if there were any present wishing to be
heard.. There, was no response. It was moved by Councilman
Summers, seconded. by Council~~n English, that the hearing be
concluded.. All members voting aye, the Mayor declared .the
motion duly carried.

Overruling IN CONNECTION WITH THE HEARING ON DEBm LIMITATION FOR THE
Protests PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF THE FIRST ALLEY SOUTH OF WOODLAWN
.AVENUE BETWEEN ERNESTINE AVENUE AND GERTRUDE DRIVE BY THE
CONSTRUCTION OF CEMENT CONCRETE GUTTER AND ASPHALT PAVING,
TOGETHER WITH ALL INCIDENTAL AND APPURTENANT WORK." was

special election to determine whether or not the terri-
tory known as "Ozell Manor Annexation No. 9"-shall be
annexed. to the City. It Was moved. by Councilman Pend.er,
seconded by Councilman English, that said Certificate of
Sufficiency be ordered. accepted .and. filed, All members
voting aye, the Mayor decla-red. the motion duly carried.
RESOLUTTON N0. 2873 entitled. "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION
TO CALL A SPECIAL ELECTION IN CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY
CONTIGUOUS TO SAID CITY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED THERETO,
FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS
RESIDING IN SAID TERRITORY THE QUESTION. WHETHER OR NOT
SAID. TERRITORY SHALL BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE WHEN AND WHERE ANY PERSON
