The Clerk also presented. a report from the City Attorney regarding this claim wherein he recommended that the claim be denied. as the city is not liable for the acts of police- men in the performance of their duties. It was moved. by Councilman Pend.er, seconded. by Councilman English, that the Council concur in the recommendation of the City Attorney and deny said claim for damages. All members voting aye, the Mayor declared. the motion duly carried.. The Clerk presented a communication from the United Cerebral Palsy Association wherein they request permission to conduct a fund-raising campaign in the City during the month of May. Western Gulf in Lease 1~+3-A to tae Western Gulf Oil Company, The Manager Oil Co, also presented. for acceptance a check in the amount of X2255.66, which represents the first two yearst rental under said. lease.
