Chamber of Chamber of Commerce wherein they requested. the City Council

Chamber' of C=umber of Commerce wherein they request the Council to pro-

Dance permit The Clerk presented. a communication from the St. Emyd.ius
St.Emydius Mothers Club of Lynwood. wherein they requested. a renewal of
Mother~~ their annual dance permit, The Clerk stated. that the request
Club is made pursuant to Ordinance 401, the dance ordinance, and
recommended. renewal of the permit. It was moved. by Council-
man Pend.er, seconded by Councilman Rowe, that the Council
concur in the recommendation of the Clerk in granting the
renewai.of said dance permit. All members present voting aye,
the Mayor declared. the motion duly carried..
PoC.Reso 216 The Clerk presented. Planning Commission Resolution No. 216
Baglione which denied. the application of Philip Baglione for change of
zone change zone from R-1 to R-3 of Lots Nos. 34 - 44, inclusive, Modjeska
denied.. Acres. The Clerk stated. that the resolution was tabled. at the
last regular meeting to allow the applicant the proper time
to file aA appeal, should. he desire to do so. No appeal has
been filed.to date.

Rowe, that the Council concur in the action of the Planning
Commission in denying said. request for a change of zone. All
members present voting aye, the Mayor declared. the motion

Fireworks The Clerk presented- a~ application from Fred and George Cook,
stand. permit 11440 Check Street, for a special permit to operate a fire~-
granted Cook works stand at the corner of Stockwell. and Imperial Highway
during the Fourth of July season. It was moved by Councilman
Fender, seconded by Council man .Rowe, that said. special permit
be granted subject to the provisions of the rules and regula-
tions governing the sale of safe and. sane fireworks in the
City of Lynwood., from Jur.e 28 to July 4, Zg59.

~Ir. f~ind.s, the applicant, explained. the manner in which
~~E exercises the pigeons.
After considerable discussion regarding the nuisances
cr°eated by the pigeons, it was moved. by Councilman Finch,
v:econded by Councilman English, that the permit be
~~raanted for a period of sixty days, with the provision
~:~ra~ the pigeons may be liberated-for exercise only

'lhe Clerk presented for the Councils approval an agree-
ment between the City and. Hams Ice Cream Company for the
vending machine concession at the Natatorium and. Recreation
Center, The Clerk stated. that the City will received. a
minimum of 12-1/2-per cent of the gross sales from the
vending machines, and. that the Recreation Director has
approved. the agreement.

Wright .Rda The Manager reque:~ted authorization to prepare an ordinance
setback which would. establish a 1G1 setback on the east side of
authorized.. Wright Road extending northerly from Century Boulevard.. The
Marbager stated. that providing for said 101 setback would.
allow for the future widening of Wright Road. to its proper
width. It was moved. by Councilman English, seconded. by
