The Clerk stated. that this fund. was; created to set aside 30~ of the total sales tax revenues, not to exceed $1.00,000 per year, for the general purpose of tax red~~ction. MacArthur, Civil reorganiza- Defense Director for the City,wherein he stated that the Lion. purpose of reorganization of Area "E" is to hire a full time, paid. Civil Defense Director to stimulate interest on the local level. The Manager recommended participation in the establish- ment of a paid coordinator for Civil Defense activities in Area "E" for a period. of one year, at a cost not to exceed. $429.50. It was moved. by Councilman English, seconded. by Summers, that the Council concur in the recommendations of the City Manager in participating in the reorganization of Area "E .
