It was moved. by Councilman Pender, seconded. by Councilman English,---'!
that; the minutes of the previous regular meeting of November 17,
1~5~ be approved. as written. All members present voting aye,

The Mayor stated that the purpose of this adjourned. regular
meeting was to consider the appointment of an architect for
the proposed community services building.
Councilman Rowe presented. his report on the plans submitted. by
five architects as representative of their work wherein he
evaluated. generally the plans which were superior to others
from a building contractors viewpoint.
Community After discussion with the Recreation Commission of the architects
services responsibilities and fees, it was moved- by Councilman Rowe,
building - seconded. by Councilman Pender, that the City Manager be instructed.
Anthony & to co:~mence preliminary negotiations with the architectural firm
Langford. of Anthony & Langford for the purpose of entering into a contract
selected as for preparation of the necessary plans and. specifications for
architect the com?~nunity services building.

Community Councilman Rowe presented to the members of the Council for
services discussion purposes the estimated. expenditures for the con-
building - struction of a community services building. After discussion
budget of the amount of money to be spent for the budding, it was
established.. moved by Councilman English, seconded by Councilman Pender,
that the construction budget should. be maintained. at approxi-
mately X300,000, including permanent kitchen equipment.

Absent: Councilman Summers.
