CALL TO ORDER
A Special Council Meeting was called to order on August 14, 1997, 7:30 P.M. with President
Pro Tempore Jackson presiding in the absence of Mayor Duane Schreimann.
ROLL CALL
The following Council Members were present for roll call:
Present: Byrd, Haake, Jackson, Jaynes, Landwehr, McDowell, Nelson, Nilges, and
Vincent
Absent: Councilman Randy Kammerdiener
A quorum was declared present.
Others present: Convention Center Committee, and Mr. Jim Moody
CONVENTION CENTER BUSINESS
Following discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Larry Vincent to instruct Jim
Moody to move forward with the attempt on the sales tax issue and special legislative
session called for September, seconded by Councilman Carolyn McDowell and approved
unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Councilman Bill Byrd moved that the meeting be
adjourned, seconded by Councilman Larry Vincent and approved unanimously.
