The Clerk presented. for the Councils consideration Columbia Mfg.
Planning Commission Resolution No, 236 which had. been held Co. variance
over .from the last regular meeting. The Clerk reviewed approved.
:for the Council the application and. the Resolution which ~P.C.Res.236~
confirmed. and. approved a variance at the northwest corner
of Lorrain<= and. Fernwood .
Mr. K. F. Thompson, 2652 108th Street, addressed the
Council in opposition to granting said variance.
Mrs, J. Kraemer, 2742 Norton Avenue, stated she d.id not
object to the granting of this variance, but stated. that
adequate zoning rules for the conduct of manufacturing
bus:~.nesses adjacent to r. esi.dential areas should. be estab®
fished..
After consi.derabl_e discussion, it was moved by Councilman
Rowe, seconded by Councilman English, that the Council
concur ~n the recommendations of the Plann3.ng Commission
and approve the variance to permit the following;
Construction of an approximately 10,000 square foot
steel building with frame and stucco outer walls, as per
plot plan on f,~le, on the southwest 84 feet of Lots 5, 6
and 7, .Tract No. 921.
