Councilmen English, Pendez° and Rowe answered the roll call. Councilmen Duncan and Finch were absent. It was moved. by Councilman Pender, seconded. by Councilman English, that the minutes of the previous regular meeting of August 2, 1960, be approved. as written. All members present voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried.. Res. 60-45 RESOLUTION N0. 60-45 entitled. "RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL Demands OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ALLOWING AND APPROVING THE DEMANDS PRE- SENTED AND ORDERING WARRANTS DRAWN THEREFOR." was presented. It was moved by Councilman English, seconded by Councilman Pender, that said resolution be adopted. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen English, Pender and Rowe. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen Duncan and. Chamber Commerce - of Commerce expres~;ing their appreciation for the increase in letter of funds granted them. It was moved by Councilman Pender, thanks. seconded. by Councilman English, that said communication be accepted and filed. All members present voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried.. ~~ Diabetes The Clerk presented a communication from the Diabetes Association... Assn. fund of Southern California, Inc., requesting permission to conduct raising a fund. raising campaign in the City of Lynwood. on January 22 - approved. 24, 196. The Clerk presented. a communication from the City of Santa Fe Springs urging the Council to consider adopting a .resolution commending Supervisor Frank G. Bonelli. There followed. a lengthy discussion of the various elements of the pro- posed. master plan between Mr, L. W. Dawn and. R. Bowen, representing the Lynwood. Redevelopment Foundation, and. the City Manager. Harveyts the Council regarding the litter, noise, and. garbage Broiler - odors from Harveyts Broiler at the northeast corner of sanitation Los Flores and. Atlantic Avenue. The Mayor stated. that complaint. every effort would. be made to abate said. nuisances. Councilman Ponder requested. the Chief of Police to present Police at the newt regular meeting a report on the following, Reserves concerning the Lynwood. Police Reserve Organization: 1.
