HomeMy Public PortalAboutM 1961-07-28 - CC~~l SPECIAL MEETING JULY 28, 1961 The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in a special session in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, on above date at 4 p.m. Mayor Pender in the chair. Councilmen Duncan, Pender and Rowe answered the roll call. Councilman Finch was absent. The Clerk presented the resignation of Councilman Richard M English, effective July 25, 1961. The Mayor explained the purpose of the special meeting to be: to consider the appointment of a member of the City Council for the unexpired term of Richard M. English. Councilman Duncan nominated Mr. John Ham. The nomination was seconded by Councilman Pender. Councilman Finch arrived. John Ham The Mayor inquired if there were any further nominations. appointed There being none, it was moved by Councilman Pender, seconded to City by Councilman Finch, that a unanimous ballot be cast for Council. John Ham to fill the unexpired term of Richard M. English as a member of the City Council. All members present voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried. It was moved by Councilman Finch, seconded by Councilman Duncan, that the meeting be adjourned. All members voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried.
