agreement. with the County Road Department for street
striping, snacking and painting on a request b~sise The

The Clerk stated that with the resignation of Mr. Richard
English, :it would be appropriate to appoint a member of
they Council as D:i.rector and one as alternate to the Los
Angeles County Division of the League of California Cities.
Mayor Fender appointed Councilman Duncan as Director and
Councilman Ha m. as A:1_ter°nate Director of the Les Angeles
County Divisions,. of the League of California Cities.

anal stated that :i.n November, 1960, he had filed a

and to date, no action has been taken, He further stated
that re~~eated calls to thcs Police Department regarding
said incident have gone unansweredq The Mayor directed
the: Chief of Police to investigate said allegations.
