The Clerk presented the Engineers report on the bids
r.ecoived for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Cortland Avenue et al, under the Improvement Act of 111.
wherein he recommended that the contract be awarded to the
low bidder, Beecher Construction Company, The Engineer
further recommended that the engineering and incidental
costs, estimated to be approximately $1,250.00, be conm
t.t _k~uted by the city toward the project as the low bid
was $2,800000 over the engineers estimate. It; was moved
by Councilman Finch, seconded by Councilman Ham, that the
Council. concur in the Engineeris recommendations in awardm
ing said contract to Beecher Construction Company, and
th~~t the Council direct the Street Superintendent to
deduct $1,250000 from the total Bost and expenses of the
