The Clerk presented a communication from the Los Angeles County Division of the League of California Cities requesting the City to adopt a resolution urging the Board ~•-•- of Supervisors to make a xr~ore equitable distribution o~° County has tax funds . It was then moved by Mayor Finch, seconded by Councilman English, that David MacArthur be appointed City Engineer on a temporary basis, with no change in his present salary. The Manager stated that the Recreation Commission requested the empir}yn~erit ar' a.n ~1ss_istaTrt Recreation DirPetor. After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Pender, seconded. by Mayor Finch, that said request be held. in abeyance until the next regular meeting. Mayor Finch presented a communication from City of Long Beach int~icating that the City of Lynwood would be the host-for the December meeting of the Southeast Mayors and Councilments Group. It was moved by Mayor Finch, seconded by Councilman Pender, that the City of Lynwood would agree to act as host at said. meeting on Wednesday, December 14,~~60. All members voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried. The Mayor inquired if there were any oral communications. There was no response.
