A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF JUNE 20, 2023, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
TO ADOPT THE 2021 INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE WITH AMENDMENTS
Whereas, the City of Tiffin currently operates under the 2018 International Fire Code
and its amendments; and,
Whereas, the City wishes to consider updating the current code with the 2021
International Fire Code with its amendments; and,
Whereas, it is necessary to hold a public hearing on such potential action,
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, to set the
date of June 20, 2023, for a public hearing to adopt the 2021 International Fire Code
with amendments.
On the 6th day of June, 2023, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Orris introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2023-040, A RESOLUTION
SETTING THE DATE OF JUNE 20, 2023, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT THE
2021 INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE WITH AMENDMENTS and made a motion for
approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Limkemann.
Ayes: Orris, Limkemann, Schnedler, Havens, Olney.
Nays: None.
Absent: None.
Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2023-040, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE
OF MAY 30, 2023, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT THE 2021
INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE WITH AMENDMENTS to be adopted and signified his
approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 6th day of June, 2023.
