FOR PROFESSTONAL ENGINEERTNG SERVICES FOR THE SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOLS PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR AUTHORIZATION; AI\D PROVIDING FOR A}[ EFFECTTVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village of Key Biscayne ('Village') has selected Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. ('Consultant") for professional engineering services for the Safe Routes to School Project ("Services"); and WHEREAS, as a result of additional work requested by the Village, the Consultant requested a change order for the Serviees, which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" ("Change Order"); and WHEREAS, the additional work requested by the Village requires the Consultant to prepare extribits showing the impact the Services may have on certain property driveways and also requires the Consultant to attend community meetings to consider and implement community feedback into the Services; and WHEREAS, Village staff has reviewed the Consultant's request forthe Change Order and recommends approval; and WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that this Resolution is in the best interest and welfare of the residents of the Village l NOW, TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BTSCAYNE, FLORTDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Recitals. That each of the above-stated recitals are hereby adopted, confirmed, and incorporated herein. Section 2. Chanse Order Approved. That the Village Council hereby approves the Change Order in an amount not to exceed $34,610.94 with the Consultant for the Services. Section 3. Authorization. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to execute the Change order with the Consultant in an amount not to exceed $34,610.94. Section 4. Effective Da.!g.
