PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR LEGAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, there exists a need for Professional Services to provide Legal
Services for the sale of Bond Anticipator's Notes; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A.40A;ll-5(I)(a) Professional Services are
exempt fi-om the requirements of Competitive Bidding; and
WHEREAS, the Local Finance Officer has certified that funds are available;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret does hereby approvc the appointment of McManimon
Scotland at an hourly rate according to rate schedule, maximmn cost not to
exceed $2000.00, billable per attached contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Borough Clerk are hereby
authorizcd to execute said contract;
IT 1S FURTHER RESOLVED that the contract is awarded without Competitive
Bids in accordance with N.J.S.A.40A:I1-5(1)(a) due to the specialized and
professional nature of the services provided.
