Chamber of Commerce requesting that the ordinance setting
water rates be amended to provide that all county resi-
dents served by the Lynwood Water Department be charged
~1e00 per month more than they are now paying, and that
said dollar be put in a special fund for the express pur~m
pose of developing the Lugo Park area, if an~3 when. enough
money is accrued,
Mr, Ralph Pits,enbarger, 11.25:± Wright Road, addressed the
Co~an.cil and stated he represented the resi.der~ts in the
area, and that they were opposed to such. ~1,CG increase,
Mra Norman Wasserman, Chamber of Commerce Se~retar°y,

The Clerk ;resented a communication from the Civic
Affairs Comr~.ittc:e of the Chamber of Commerce, requesting
a license and permit exemption to sponsor amusement
rides from August 23 to 26, in c®njunction w~i_th a weck~
long ret;ail merchant celebration,
Mre Ray Yancey, representing said Committee, stated that
the ;purpose of conducting this enterprise is to raise
money for further beautification of the Fernwood Avenue
right of wage Mra Yancey further stated they would Like
to conduct the event at the southeast corner of Century
and Lulliso
The Clerk recommended that said request be referred to
the City Attorney, City Manager and City Clerk, and
members of the Committee, for further information, with
a report back to the Council at the next regular meeting
with their recommendations,

Reservoir The Manager presented a communication from R, J. Thomas,
site lease storm. drain contractor, proposing to lease the city~s
discussed. reservoir site on Wright Road at Louise, for a period of tv~ro
years, with an option to renew for an additional three years,
at the rate; of ~100,C0 per month, The Manager presented his
report wherein he recommended that the city accept said pro
posal,

offer was satisfactory and as to the city~s future us>e of the
property, .with no action being taken on the proposalo
Water Dept. The Manager requested authorization to transfer approximately
delinquent $150,OC in Water Department uncollectible balances from. the
accounts active to the inactive account, It was moved by Cou.neilman
transfer McMillan, seconded by Councilman Duncan, that the Council
approved, authorize the transfer of said delinquencies to the Water
Department Inactive Account.

Council utilize the Improvement Act of 1.911 proceedings for
