CALL TO ORDER
A Special Council Meeting was called to order on December 23, 1997, 12:00 Noon with
President Pro Tempore Jackson presiding.
ROLL CALL
The following Council Members were present for roll call:
Present: Byrd, Haake, Jackson, Landwehr, McDowell, Nilges and Stella
Absent: Haake, Jaynes and Vincent
A quorum was declared present.
MINUTES AND REPORTS RECEIVED AND FILED
President Pro Tempore Jackson announced that the following minutes and reports had
been received, and are on file in the City Clerk's office
Preliminary Plan for Hotel Governor Redevelopment Project
Mr. Allen Pollock, Director of the Jefferson City Housing Authority, made an oral
presentation regarding the Hotel Governor redevelopment project. He stated that the
Jefferson City Housing Authority has approved the preliminary plan, and he recommended
that the Council also approve the proposed preliminary plan.
RESOLUTIONS
RS97 -23 — Hotel Governor Redevelopment Project. An oral presentation was given by City
Counselor Allen Garner explaining the resolution and what it will accomplish. Following the
presentation, a motion was made by Councilman Steve Nelson to adopt Resolution RS97-
23, seconded by Councilman Bill Byrd and approved unanimously.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
A motion was made by Councilman Bill Byrd to go into Executive Session for the purpose
of discussing Real Estate and Litigation, seconded by Councilman Len Stella and approved
by the following roll -call vote at 12:10 P.M.:
Aye: Byrd, Jackson, Landwehr, McDowell, Nelson, Nilges and Stella
Nay: None
