SPECIAL MEETING JUNE 24, 1963
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in a special
session in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, on above
date at 4 p.m.
Mayor Ham in the chair.
Councilmen Duncan, Ham, McMillan and Rowe answered the
roll call.
Councilman Finch was absent.
~-- The Mayor stated the purpose of the special meeting was Budget
to discuss requests made by the Lynwood City Employees discussion
Association, Police Officers Relief and Welfare Associa-
tion, and the Firefighters Association concerning the
1963-64 budget.
Representatives of the various groups discussed their
requests with the Council.
The Council agreed that the following would be considered
in the 1963-64 budget.
1. Pay entire employees share of Blue Cross
medical plan.
2. Conduct an actuarial survey for widow and
orphan survival benefits as a part of the
employees retirement program.
3. A $10.00 per month increase in hazard pay
to motor officers.
The Council did not approve (1) the request for a 5~ salary
increase, (2) increase of vacation to three weeks after
8 years of service. No action was taken on additional
'r"' court time pay or the reduction of the number of shifts
worked by fire employees,

ed a discussion of the lack of information
available from the County Assessor to enable determination
of the property tax revenue for the fiscal year 1963-64.
It was moved by Councilman Duncan, seconded by Councilman
McMillan, that the meeting be adjourned, All members
present voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly
carried,
