REGULAR MEETING OCTQBER 15, 1963
Mayor Ham in the chair.
Councilmen Duncan, Finch, Ham, McMillan and Rowe answered
the roll call.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in a regular
session in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, on above date
at 7030 p.m.
It was moved by Councilman Finch, seconded by Councilman
Rowe, that the minutes of the regular meeting of October 1,
1963, be approved as written. All members voting aye, the
Ma~ror declared the motion duly carried.

was presented. It was moved by Councilman McMillan,
seconded by Councilman Duncan, that said resolution be
adopted.

PARK," was presented for second reading and adoption, (riotous con-
du~t, etc.)
At the request of the Mayor, the Clerk read the ordinance
in its entirety,
~" Mr. Jerry Rokas, 12117 Bullis Road, addressed the Council
j!, requesting that the ordinance not be adopted as the
~~ ordinance is unnecessary-and gives the Police De artment
too much d;scretio~ary_power over the rights of he
individual.
The City Attorney explained the priizciples~,and purposes 'of
the ordinance,
Whereupon, it 'was moved by Councilman Duncan, seconded by
Councilman Finch, that said ordinance be adopted and pub~-
lished.

The Clerk presented communications from Mrs. John R. Fayne, Parking,off-
1516 E. Tucker, Compton, and Mrs. Helen L, Schenk, 4015 street -
Cortland Street, regarding off-street parking restrictions complaints
in the city par~Cing lots in the central business district.
The Manager suggested that the communications be referred
to the Parking Commission for their consideration.
Whereupon, it was moved by Councilman Rowe, seconded by
Councilman McMillan, that said communications be referred
' to the Parking Commission for disposition, A11 members

The Clerk presented a communication from Mr. Irv E.
Debbold, 10366 Long Beach Boulevard, sugges-tang improve-
ments to the traffic signal system at Long Beach Boulevard
and Tenaya-State ,street. It was moved by Councilman Finch,
seconded by Councilman McMillan, that said communication
be referred to the Traffic Engineer for investigation. All

allowed to rent the building ion the same basis as previously

agreement on behalf of the cityo

"Snorkel" The Manager presented a report on the bids received for the
contract purchase of the aerial platform fire apparatus (snorkel
awarded to pu.mper), wherein he recommended that the contract be awarded
Crown Coach to the low bidder, Crown Ccacn Corporation, and~that the
corporation be allowed demonstration privileges not to exceed
forty-five days, with a delivery date of 210 days, at a
total. cost of $58,7~~By0 pla.s sales taxo
It was moved by Councilman. Finch, seconded by Councilman
McMillan., that the Co~u:nciZ concur in the recommendations of
the Manager in awarding said contract to Crown Coach Corporation.

Santa Fe Ave,The Manager requested authorization to advertise for bids
improvement for the improvement of Santa Fe Avenue between Fernwood
bid call Avenue and 1.09th Street, at an estimated cost of $63,553.33,
authorized, The Manager stated that this gas tax project has been
approved by the Division of Highways, and will be financed
by budgeted gas tax funds. Tt was moved by Councilman
McMillan, seconded by Councilman Finch, that the Council
authorize advertising for bids on said project. All members
voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried,

Council direct the Clerk to send a letter to the State
