Mrs. Scafidi stated that no merchandise would be either delivered. to or shipped from the home, and that the business would consist of transactions by normal mail only, and that only mail orders would be received. Crowle,;r, Crowley home 2705 E. 111th Street, for a special permit to conduct the occupation business of automobile oil filter sales and service. The permit denies Clerk stated that the usual post card mailing had been made and that no objections had been filed. The Clerk also stated that the Building Inspector had issued the necessary certificate of occupancy. Mr. Crowley explained to the Council the manner in which he would conduct the business and indicated that no service or installation work would be done at the home. After considerable discussion of the manner in which the business would be conducted, it was moved by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Duncan, that said special permit be denied. All members voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried.. The Clerk presented the application of Lynwood Chapter of Christmas trE "~ DeMolay for a special permit to sell Christmas Trees at sales permit 3555 Century Boulevard, license free. The Clerk stated granted that said organization has conducted Christmas tree sales DeMolay at that location in past year, and recommended granting said special permit for a period of time not to exceed 30 days. It was moved by Councilman Duncan, seconded by Councilman Smith, that said special permit be granted, license free. All members voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried. Formation It was moved by Councilman Ham, seconded by Councilman Duncan, Commission that the Council go on record as opposing the legislative ,,.,,,, legislative program of the Los Angeles County Formation Commission which program has recommended additional powers in approving or dis- opposed, approving of annexation and incorporation proposals. All members voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried, Councilman Smith expressed appreciation for the confidence placed in him by the members of the Council in appointing him as a member.
