A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCCALL, IDAHO,
ADOPTING FEES TO BE CHARGED FOR STAFF ENGINEER REVIEW OF LAND
USE APPLICATIONS; PROVIDING FOR RELATED MA TIERS; AND, PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of McCall hired a Staff Engineer on March 15, 20lO who is a
registered professional engineer whose responsibilities include development review and
other related tasks; and
WHEREAS, the City of McCall entered into an agreement with CH2M Hill for city
engineering services on June 29, 2005 and the agreement is amended annually for the
adjustment of rates at the beginning of each calendar year; and
WHEREAS, McCall City Code 3.15.03(J) provides that a fee schedule be established
periodically by the Council by resolution; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 08-22 was adopted on November 6, 2008 establishing fees for
land use applications, development related review services, and CBD parking for each
space omitted; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 08-22 set the fee for "City Engineer RevieW/City Attorney
Review" to be charged at "actual cost;" and
WHEREAS, the City of McCall has reviewed its procedures, estimated the range of costs
for providing these services, and compared proposed City fees to the corresponding fees
charged by those jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that it is in the best interest of the owners
of property and of the inhabitants within the City to create a new fee for Staff Engineer
Review, distinct from the City Engineer Review fee established in Resolution 08-22; and
WHEREAS, notice of the proposed fees was published in The Star News, a newspaper of
general circulation within the City, on March 25, 20lO and April 1, 2010, and a public
hearing was held on the proposed new fee on April 8, 2010, all as required by law; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MCCALL, Valley County, Idaho that:
Section 1: The following rates and fees are hereby adopted:
$60/hour

Section 2: Existing fees that are not in conflict with the fees adopted by this
Resolution shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3: This resolution shall be in full force and effect on April 9, 2010.
