RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT WITH
STRUCTURAL PRESERVATION SYSTEMS
WHEREAS, Structural Preservation Systems ("SPS") performed certain work
required to eliminate leaking in the elevator shaft of the Borough of Carteret's (the
"Borough") library/senior community center; and
WHEREAS, a dispute arose as to the responsible party for payment to SPS; and
WHEREAS, SPS has threatened to institute a suite in connection with matters;
and
WHEREAS, the Borough believes that a settlement would be in the best interest
of the Borough.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret that the attached settlement agreement in the amount of
$52,634.36 is hereby approved.
BE, IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Borough CLerk be and are
hereby authorized to execute said settlement agreement on behalf of the Borough.
Adopted this 19th day of December, 2000
and certified as a true copy of the original
on December 20th , 2000.

THE CONTRACTOR does hereby agrec to perform the following
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT FOR WORK
REQUIRED TO ELIMiNATE LEAKING IN THE ELEVATOR SHAFT.
NOT TO EXCEED $52,634.36.
According to the terms set forth in Resolution.
THE BOROUGH does hereby agree to pay the Contractor the sum set
forth in Resolution.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have hereunder set their hands and seals or
caused these presents to be signed by their proper corporate officers and their corporate
seals to be hereto affixed, the day and year written above.
