The City Council of the City of Lynwood mei; in a regular
session in the City Hail, l,_33O Bulli.s Road, on above
date at 7:~0 p.m.
It was moved. by Councilman Siokos, seconded by Council-
man Liewer, and carried, that the rninutes of the
regular mee~-ing of December 2, 1.969, be approved as
written.
RESOLUTION N0. 69--69 entitled: "RESOLUTION OF THE

The Council was informed that the required inventory
of merchandise has been filed and the permit fee
has been paid. It was moved by Councilman Siokos,
seconded by Councilman Liewer, and carried, that the
request be granted.
As requested at the previous meeting, the City
Manager presented for the Council's information a
report on improvement of street lighting in the areas
of Orchard to Josephine and Imperial Highway to
.Century Boulevard on Long Beach Boulevard, and from
Norton to California Avenue on Century Boulevard.
The Manager stated that in addition to the methods
of financing outlined in the report, he would like
to present other alternatives before the Council
makes a decision.
Mr. Edward Pacheco, 11208 State Street, addressed
the Council to urge that street lighting in the
area of Fernwood and State Street, and on Santa
Fe Avenue south of Fernwood Avenue be improved.
The Manager reported that the Planning Commission
took the following actions at its regular meeting
of December 9: Approved the home occupation request
of Mrs. Marjorie Moody, 3304 Palm Avenue; conducted
a public hearing on an application for change of
zone from P-1 to R-3 of property located at 3285
Seminole Street and three adjacent properties. The
matter was held over to the January ]_3, 1970,
meeting to allow further study of the request.
COUNCIL STUDY
Drafts of proposed entertainment ordinances were
presented to the Council for study.
The meeting was adjourned to an executive session.
Following the executive session, the meeting was
again called to order.

Don Snavely, Recreation and Parks Dir°ector, invited Music Festival
the Council to attend a Christmas Music Festival 12/22, 7:30 p.m.
to be held in Bateman Hall on December 22 at 7:30 p.m. Bateman Hall
The music will be provided by choirs from the local
churches.
Councilman Byork said he had again heard of people
having difficulty in locating Bateman Hall, and
the City Manager informed him that several new
direction signs have been installed which h.e
hopes will assist people in locating the building.
Mr. Edward Pacheco, 11208 State Street, addressed
the Council to ask a number of questions concerning
development of the Central Business a,rPa and how

much time he would have if the property were condemned.
He was told that generally, if the property became

man Green, and carried, that the meeting be adjourned.
