ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 4, 1970
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an
adjourned regular session in the City Hall, 11330
Bullis Road, on above date at 7:30 p.m.
Mayor Stevens in the chair.
Councilmen - Green, Liewer, Siokos, Stevens
answered the roll call. Councilman Byork was
absent.
Joint Council- Officers and members of the Board of Directors of
Chamber of the Lynwood Chamber of Commerce were present and

copies of the Chamber's organization chart indicating
the activities planned and the various committees
for the coming year. The functions of the various
committees was explained.
The proposed celebration of the city's 50th
anniversary of incorporation was discussed, with
the Chamber representatives urging that city officials
having ideas as to the period of time for the
observance and possible programs to inform the
anniversary committee chairman, Mr. Jack Willard.
Other items of information discussion were the chamber's
advertising program, methods of budgeting chamber
funds allocated by the city, post office cancellation
stamp for use during the 50th anniversary observance,
and the need for signs directing people to the
various civic buildings. Mr. Becker expressed the
appreciation of the group for the opportunity to
meet informally with the City Council.
Councilman Liewer noted that the City Manager, City
Attorney and City Clerk had no name plates, and
moved that name plates be purchased. The motion
was seconded by Mayor Stevens. Councilman Siokos
said he felt this should be taken up at the next
regular meeting.
Roll Call:
Ayes: Councilmen Liewer and Stevens.
Noes: Councilmen Green and Siokos.
Absent: Councilman Byork.
It was moved by Councilman Liewer, s.aconded by
Councilman Green, and carried, that the meeting be
adjourned.
