Re: GS #2507 (PRR 1385)
Please provide copies of all police reports generated by the Gulf Stream Police Department for
the period from July 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015.
Dear Martin E. O’Boyle [mail to: records@commerce-group.com]:
The Town of Gulf Stream has received your public records request dated February 24, 2017. The
original public records request can be found at the following link:
http://www2.gulf-stream.org/weblink/0/doc/109523/Page1.aspx
The Town has determined that there are approximately 1,250 police incident reports responsive
to your request, which includes the period spanning July 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015.
Based on this figure, the Town now estimates that to fully respond to your request will require
approximately seven and a half hours of administrative support at $37.34 per hour, the labor cost
of the personnel providing the service, per Fla. Stat. § 119.07(4)(d). This estimate does not
account for any unusually large reports that may fall within this time frame.
If the costs of producing these documents will exceed your deposit, the Town will provide you
with an initial production of responsive records and an estimate for the production of any
additional responsive records. If the costs of production are less than the deposit, the Town will
provide you with the responsive records and a refund.
(7.5 hours @ $37.34) = Deposit Due: $280.05 in cash or check.
Upon receipt of your deposit, the Town will use its very best efforts to further respond to your
public records request in a reasonable amount of time. If we do not hear back from you within
30 days of this letter, we will consider this request closed.
Sincerely,
Reneé Rowan Basel
