ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 21, 1972
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an adjourned
regular session in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, on
above date at 4 p.m.
Mayor Liewer in the chair.
Councilmen Byork, Green and Liewer answered the roll
call. Councilmen Morris and Stevens were absent. .•~.
Chamber of Mayor Liewer announced that the regular meeting of
Commerce January 18 had been adjourned to this time in order to
discussion meet with the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce
of future to be advised of the Chamber's projects for the coming
projects year.
Mr. Don Dixon, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Industrial
Development & Economic Action for Lynwood Committee (IDEAL),
explained the IDEAL project and its goals.
Councilman Morris arrived.
Mr. Dewey Smith, 4016 Virginia, an industrial planner and
Mr. Adams, 3554 Brenton Avenue, representing North American
Rockwell, described their rolls in the IDEAL project.
After informal discussion of the project with the committee
members present, it was moved by Councilman Green,
seconded by Councilman Morris, and carried, that letters
of appreciation be sent to North American Rockwell, Compton
College, and any other company cooperating in the IDEAL program.
Roll Call:
Ayes: Councilmen Byork, Green, Liewer, Morris.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Stevens.
It was moved by Councilman Byork, seconded by Councilman
Green, and carried, that the meeting be adjourned to
January 24, 1972, at 4 p.m.
