SPECIAL MEETING JULY 26, 1972
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in a special
session in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, on above
date at 5:00 p.m.

k Councilmen Byork, Liewer, Morris, Rowe and Stevens
answered the roll call.
The Mayor announced that the special meeting had
been called for the purpose of resolution of the
impasse with the Lynwood Firefighters Association,
and asked the Assistant City Manager, Mr. Wright,
for his comments.
Mr. Wright informed the Council of the result of the
meet and confer sessions which had taken place
pursuant to Council direction at the July 18, 1972,
meeting.
The Mayor inquired if any one else wished to be heard.
Mr. Richard Castle, representing the Firefighters'
Association, Mr. Bill Schultz, Mr. David Bell and
Mr. Ralph Morrison, members of the Firefighters'
Association, spoke concerning the Firefighters'
Association final position following the additional
meet and confer sessions.
The meeting was adjourned to executive session.
Following the executive session, the meeting
-was called to order.
The Mayor said he would entertain a motion for
approval of the following: $70-$80-$90 increases
in pay, the longevity program, reduction of hours
to 58 per week, and overtime option for captains.
It was moved by Councilman Stevens, seconded by
Councilman Rowe, that the items outlined by the
Mayor be approved and that the City Attorney
prepare the necessary resolution.
Roll Call:
Ayes: Councilmen Liewer, Morris, Rowe, Stevens.
Noes: Councilman Byork.
Absent: None.
It was moved by Councilman Liewer, seconded by
Councilman Byork, and carried, that the meeting be
adj ourned.
