ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING JUNE 12, 1973
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an
adjourned regular session in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis
Road, on above date at 7:30 p.m.
Mayor Byork in the chair.
Councilmen .Byork, Morris, Rowe and Stevens answered the
roll calla Councilman Liewer was absent.
The oath of office was administered by the City Clerk
to Mr. Lloyd Bullock as member of the Personnel Board,
and to Mr. Al Evans as member of the Real Estate
Practices Commission.
It was moved by Councilman Stevens, seconded by Fireworks stand
Councilman Morris, and carried, that the request of permit granted
Boy Scout Troop 437X for permission to conduct a Explorer Post
fireworks stand at 3831 Century Boulevard be approved. 437X
It was moved by Councilman Morris, seconded by
Councilman Rowe, and carried, that'-the meeting be adjourned
to executive session.
Councilman Liewer arrived.
The City Clerk was excused and Councilman Liewer
was appointed City Clerk pro tempore.
It was moved by Councilman Rowe, seconded by Council-
man Stevens, and carried, that the meeting be
r-r* reconvened in the conference room.
A report on Storm Drain Project No . 2650 in the City of Storm Drain Proj
Compton was presented by the City Manager. As catch No. 2650
basin structures at Waldorf Drive and Stoneacre will
encroach on Lynwood City boundaries, it was recommended
that the Council approve the plans and specifications,
grant the Los Angeles County Flood Control District
permission to occupy and use the public streets in
the City of Lynwood to construct, operate and
maintain the installation, and authorize the District
to proceed with the construction. It was moved by
Councilman Stevens, seconded by Councilman Morris, and
carried, that the Council concur in the recommendations_
on Storm Drain System Improvements, Project No. 2650,
City of Compton.
It was moved by Councilman Morris, seconded by Council-
man Stevens, and carried, that the meeting adjourn to
June 19, 1973, at 7 p.m.
