HomeMy Public PortalAboutM 1974-06-10 - CC ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING JUNE 10, 1974 The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an adjourned regular session in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, on above date at 4:30 p.m. Mayor Liewer in the chair. Councilmen Byork, Green, Liewer, Morris, Rowe answered the roll call. Budget study The City Manager presented to the Council copies of the preliminary fiscal budget for 1974-75, calling attention to the changed format. He explained that the balanced budget, prior to salary increases, was achieved by cuts totalling $190,000 in proposals submitted by the various department heads. In reviewing available General Fund revenue, the Manager informed the Council that he has projected the maximum tax increase of %.3 per cent and increased the Water Fund transfer to the General Fund from 10 per cent to 15 per cent. As the Manager wished to have the various department heads involved in the budget sessions with the Council, the Council reviewed the Building Department budget proposals with Building Official Gerald Sanders. Following a thorough discussion of the Building Department budget, the meeting was adjourned to executive session for personnel matters. Following the executive session, it was moved by Councilman Rowe, seconded by Councilman Byork, and carried, that the meeting adjourn to Tuesday, June 11, 1974, at 7:00 p.m. ,1 ~~ity Clerk, Cityo Lynw od APPROVED JUNE 18, 1974 M yor t City of Lynw d
