ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING JUNE 21. 1974
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an
adjourned regular session in the City Hall, 11330
Bullis Road, on above date at 7:00 p.m.
Mayor Liewer in the chair.
Councilmen Byork, Liewer, Green, Rowe answered the
roll call. Councilman Morris was absent.
It was moved by Councilman Green, seconded by Council-
man Byork, and carried, that Councilman Morris` absence
be excused.
The City Manager presented a report on the action of
the Planning Commission in approving Parcel Map No.
2953 submitted by Economic Resources Corporation,
subject in part to dedication to the City of a 7.00
feet strip on the east side of Industry Way along the
west side of parcel 4 and a portion of parcel 1. It
was recommended that the Council accept a corporation
grant deed from Economic Resources Corporation for
dedication of a strip of land 7.00 feet wide, parallel
and adjacent to the easterly line of Lot 5 of said
parcel map and terminated by the westerly prolongation
of the southerly line of Lot 2 and the westerly
prolongation of the northerly line of Lot 3 of Parcel
Map No. 1223, to be known as Industry Way. It was
moved by Councilman Byork, seconded by Councilman
Green, and carried, that the Council concur in the
recommendation.
Councilman Morris arrived.
Recreation and Parks Director Don Snavely was present
to discuss the remainder of the Parks and REcreation
budget (Account 1-195 Operation and Account 1-19~
Natatorium). He also informed the Council of funds
which might be available to the City because of the
passage of Proposition No. 1 at the June 4 election
and suggested preparation of a grant application
to be approved by resolution at a subsequent Council
meeting.
Fire Chief Allen McDaniel presented budget proposals
for the Fire Department (Account 1-145).
Mrs. Diane Maril addressed the Council concerning a
news article on joining the County fire district.
It was moved by Councilman Green, seconded by Council-
man Byork, and carried, that the meeting adjourn to
Tuesday, June 25, 1974, at 4:00 p.m.
