ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 24, 1974
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an
adjourned regular session in the City Hall, 11330
~-- Bullis Road, on above date at 4:30 p:.m.
Mayor Liewer in the chair.
Councilmen Byork, Green, Liewer, Morris, Rowe
answered the roll call.
Also present was City Manager Wright.
The Manager presented a cost information report on Sale of Wright Rd.
the sale of City owned property located at 11000 property authorized
Wright Road.
Councilman Rowe stated he was opposed to making a
decision to sell the property at this adjourned
meeting and expressed the opinion that the matter
should be held over to the next regular meeting
when more of the public would be attending the
meeting.
After discussion concerning the building and gaso-
line tank located on the property and the types
of taxes to be received from the prospective
buyer, it was moved by Councilman Green, seconded
by Councilman Byork, that the Council authorize
the sale by directing the City Attorney to provide
the proper escrow instructions and refer it to
the Planning Commission.
Mr. Robert E. Leonard, Real Estate and Property
manager from Ryan Outdoor Advertising Inc.,
addressed the Council to present a letter urging
the Council to approve the sale of the property,
and to explain that Ryan Outdoor Advertising had
to relocate by the end of April when they had to
vacate their present facilities.
Councilman Rowe expressed the opinion that a counter
offer should be made to the company.
Councilman Morris opposed the Council authorizing
the sale of the property rather than just agreeing
to the sale.
Roll Call:
Ayes: Councilmen Byork, Green, Liewer.
Noes: Councilmen Morris, Rowe.
Absent: None.
It was moved by Councilman Byork, seconded by Telegram re repeal
Councilman Green, and carried, that the City Manager of pension retire.

It was moved by Councilman Green, seconded by
Councilman Byork, and carried, that the meeting
adjourn to 5:25 p.m.

The meeting was called to order at 5:25 p.m., and the
Mayor adjourned the meeting to executive session for
personnel matters.
Following the executive session, it was moved by Council-
man Rowe, seconded by Councilman Green, and carried, ..
that the meeting be adjourned to October 1, 1974, at
7:00 p.m.
