ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING MAY 28, 197
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an
adjourned regular session in the City Hall, 11330
Bullis Road, on above date at 3:00 p.m.
Mayor Liewer in the chair.
Councilmen Byork, Green, Liewer, Rowe answered the
roll call. Councilman Morris was absent.
Also present was City Manager Wright.
Pentecostal It was moved by Councilman Byork, seconded by Council-
Church yard man Green, and carried, that the Council grant the
sale request of the Pentecostal Church of God, 4361 Brewster,
for permission to conduct a yard sale at 3678 Josephine
Street ,for not more than two days commencing May 31, 1975.
Budget Study Discussion of the Water Department budget for 1975-76,
Water Fund commenced at the adjourned regular meeting of May 23,
1975, was reviewed.
In discussing the Water Department capital projects,
Councilman Rowe urged that there be a 12-month moratorium
on installation of water meters and transfer of $5,000
per month from the Water Fund to the General Fund. After
discussion of the relative urgency of the various capital
projects proposed, it was the consensus of the Council
that all water capital projects be retained, except that
only half of the water meters be purchased in 1975-76,
and that the water rate be increased two cents.
Capital The City Manager presented a schedule of proposed Capital
Outlay Fund Outlay Fund expenditures and recommended that the
$85,000 remaining in the Capital Outlay Fund be
transferred to the General Fund at the end of the current
fiscal year.
Councilman Green asked that funds be provided in the
budget to reimburse reserve police officers for their
original equipment expense, after they have served one
year.
Councilman Green asked that all departments concerned
take whatever action necessary to correct the conditions
at a house on Shirley Avenue about which he previously
complained.
It was moved by Councilman Byork, seconded by Councilman
Green, and carried, that the meeting adjourn to Monday,
June 2, 1975, at 4:00 p.m.
