ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING JUNE 2, 1
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an
adjourned regular session in the City Hall, 11330
Bullis Road, on above date at 4:00 p.m,
Mayor Liewer in the chair.
Councilmen Byork, Green, Liewer, Rowe answered
the roll call. Councilman Morris was absent.
The meeting was recessed and reconvened at 4:10 p.m,
Councilman Morris arrived.
Public Works Director Alvarado presented a report Budget study
on Street Lighting District No. 2 and requested various public
Council consideration of increasing the lighting works accounts
maintenance charges for 1975-76. The matter
will appear on a regular council meeting agenda
for action.
In discussing Account No. 1-170, Mr. Alvarado
requested the Council to consider retaining funds
for the student aide, which the Manager has
recommended eliminating. It was moved by
Councilman Byork, seconded by Councilman Green,
and carried, that the Council concur in the
City Manager's recommendation to eliminate the
student aide. The City Manager was asked to
investigate whether or not CETA funds could be
used for the student aide position.
After discussing changes in accounting for
equipment rental and attendance at various
meetings, it was moved by Councilman Byork,
seconded by Councilman Green, and carried, that
the Engineering budget be accepted.
It was moved by Councilman Byork, seconded by
Councilman Green, and carried, that the Council
accept the budget for Account No. 1-172 (Waste
Collection and Disposal).
It was moved by Councilman Byork, seconded by
Councilman Rowe, and carried, that the Council
accept the budget for Account No. 1-174 (Weed
Abatement).
In considering Account No. 3-180 (Traffic Control),
the bids received for traffic signal maintenance
were discussed with no action being taken.
It was moved by Councilman Rowe, seconded by
Councilman Byork, and carried, that the Council
concur in the budget recommendation for Account
No. 3-181 (Street Cleaning).
Discussion of Account No. 3-182 (Street Maintenance)
was held over to allow more study of gas tax
projects.
Councilman Morris was excused from the remainder
of the meeting.

Discussion of Account No. 3-183 (Maintenance of
Parkway Trees) was held over in order to consider
all Gas Tax capital projects.
It was moved by Councilman Rowe, seconded by
Councilman Byork, and carried, that the Council
accept the budget for Account No. 1-1~5 (Municipal
Garage).
It was moved by Councilman Byork, seconded by
Councilman Rowe, and carried, that the meeting
be adjourned .
